JACQUELYN McGHEE

Jacquelyn McGhee was peacefully called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 20, 2020, in the comfort of her home, at the age of 52.  She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Jacquelyn was very gifted and talented, but she was most recognized for her passion to decorate and her cooking skills. He expertise in these areas led her to start her own business, Jackie’s Anointing Catering.  Loving mother of Shandreack, and Shandrea McGhee, Shandreace (Hayden) Pleasant, Chadrick and Robert Benjamin, Jr. Devoted grandmother of Anthony McGhee, Derrin DeGruy, Journee’ Harper, and Tahjir Berry.  Daughter of the late Alberta Mark. Adopted daughter of the late Lucious and Gollia McGhee. Sister of Theodore Mark, Giles McGhee, Iris Badon, and the late John, Doyle, Glenn, Odell, Gillespie, and Debbie Mark, Lezean and Walter McGhee. Godmother of Odell Kinchen, Jr.; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
