JACQUELYN MARIE JACKSON

Jacquelyn Marie Jackson entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the age of 66. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Jackie as she was most affectionately known was a substitute bus driver for the Jefferson Parish School Board, and she retired from Westside Transit Authority in 1992. Devoted mother of Antionette and C’shanti Gaines (Trinica), Brenda Palmer, Torrianda “Tori” Lastie (Rashonda), and America Books (Lloyd). Daughter of the late Roger, Sr. and Rosie Lee Jackson. Grandmother of Monika and Malaiya Johnson, Shawnica Gardner (Tyanna), and Luis Diaz (Maegan). Sister of Charles Sr. (Pamela), Roger Jr., Robert Sr. (Willie), David (Renell), and Ira Jean Jackson whom she loved dearly, and the late Randolph and Carl Jackson Sr. Godmother of Chantrell Franklin (Anthony Jr.). Niece of Saul James, Irene Graves, and Linda Matthews. She was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Lashes Lashay Jackson, whom she loved as a child for 12 ½ years and her grand rabbit of 7 ½ years, Ambrosia Marie Gaines. Jackie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
