Isaiah “Ike” Firven, Jr. entered eternal rest at Marrero Healthcare on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the age of 70. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Isaiah was employed as a barge cleaner until his health began to decline. Beloved husband of 26 years to the late Pamela Porter Firven. Loving stepfather of Shenette Earvin, and Warren (Shelly) Earvin. Grandfather of Giyanna Williams, Zyrie Burse, Tamia Burse, Giovanna Earvin, and Kairo Earvin. Son of the late Isaiah Firven, Sr., and Clementine Lewis Firven. Brother of Michael Firven, Leon Firven, Geraldine (Bryan) Oubre, Brenetta Firven, and the late Diana Singleton. Nephew of Delores Gabrriel. Brother-in-love of Walter Ennis, the late Nathaniel Singleton, Lloyd Barrow and Jacqueline Firven. Isaiah is also survived by his godchild Ja’Colbi Lewis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Baptist Church, Second St. John Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Little Zion Baptist Church, 433 Avondale Garden Rd., Avondale, LA on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Damian J. Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum-Avondale, LA.
