IRMA JEAN JONES

Irma Jean Ard Jones, age 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 17, 2024, at Bridgepoint Continuing Care Hospital. She was a native of Independence, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. As a devoted homemaker, she opened her home to family and friends, making everyone feel welcomed and loved with her warm smile. Her nurturing presence was a constant source of support and comfort to her family. Her vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Loving mother of Vernon T. Jones, Dana Jones, Sr., and Damion Jones, Sr. Adored grandmother of Vershawn Jones, Vernon T. Jones, Jr., Farron Jones, Irie Jones, Dana Jones, Jr., Zahkobie Haynes, Kamryn Jones, and Damion Jones, Jr. Beloved daughter of the late John Ard and Willie Mae Ard. Devoted sister Jerome (Duna) Ard, Mary Ard, Irene Ard, Christine (Robert) Young, Revon Lewis, and the late Dorothy White, Ora Lee White, Lola Mae House, Leon Edward Ard, John Ard and Willie James Ard. Irma is also survived a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Philadelphia Ministries, Hope Church of Destrehan, LA and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Philadelphia Ministries, 3181 Destrehan Avenue, Harvey, LA on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James E. Daniel, host pastor; Pastor Charles Dalgo, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA.
