IKE BURNS

Ike Burns, Sr. departed this life on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 72. He was a native of Hermanville, MS and a resident of Gretna, LA. Ike was a welder and pipefitter with Avondale Shipyard. Beloved husband of the late Delores Burns.  Devoted father of Zelma Burns, Renee’ Burns, Renetta Burns and the late Natalie Frazier and Ike Burns Jr. Son of the late Mitch Burns and Ida Polk. Brother of Leroy Stevenson Jr., Rico Stevenson, Howard Mack, Ida Ruth Myles and the late Danny Lawson, also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00a.m. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.  To view and sign the guestbook, please go to www.davismortuaryservice.com.
