HERBERT E. WELSH

Herbert "Jackie" Elroy Welsh departed this life at his residence on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 84. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Herbert was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He served his country in the United States Airforce. Herbert was a retired employee with Witco / Crompton as a chemical operator. Beloved husband of Gladys Marie Welsh. Loving father of Chandra Welsh, Telesha (Silas) Johnson, and Tanya Welsh. Son of the late Joseph Welsh, Sr. and Laura Lewis Welsh. Brother of the late Murphy Billew, Sr., Ernest Billew, Joseph Welsh, Jr., Donald Welsh, and Ida Mae Billew, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30am until service time at the above named parlor.
