HERBERT ESKINDE, JR.

Herbert Eskinde, Jr. departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the age of 83. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  Beloved husband of the late Doris Mae Richardson Eskinde. Loving father of Gwendolyn and Troy Eskinde, Petrice (Eddie) Reese, Kim (Keith) Bradley, Valerie Robinson, and the late Herbert Eskinde, III, and Jonnette McKey. Grandfather of Ashley Patterson. Son of the late Inez Singleton Eskinde and Herbert Eskinde, Sr. Grandson of the Thomas and Amanda Singleton. Brother of Louis (Sally) Mallory, Ava Green, Barry (Adrelle) Mallory, Taylor (Carol) Mallory, and the Isreal and Meredes Eskinde. Son in law of the late Joseph and Loretta Richardson. Brother in law of the late Wilbert Richardson and Kenneth Green, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, St. Rock Baptist Church, and neighboring churches; employees of Gulf Coast Social Services, Advance Personal Care, and Goodwill Industries are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna LA on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Norman Francis officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor. Interment: McDonoghville Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
