HENRY RICHARD WALTON

Henry “Sonny” Richard Walton entered into eternal rest at his residence on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the age of 69. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Gretna, LA and presently residing in New Orleans, LA. He was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and employed as a landscaper. Henry was a faithful member of Fischer Community Church, where he taught bible study to the elderly at Fischer Community Center, until his health began to decline. Loving father of Richard Henry Walton. Beloved son of the late John Walton and Audrey Street Walton. Brother of Chester and Lester Walton. Nephew of Herbert Goirl; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Tuesday. November 21, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: New Hope Cemetery-Gretna, LA
