HENRY STOKES

Henry Stokes entered eternal rest at his residence on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the age of 75. He was a native of Waterproof, LA, a former resident of Marrero, LA and presently residing in Zachary, LA. Henry was a retired mechanic and former limousine driver. Beloved companion of Linda Perkins. Loving father of Lisa (Francis) Mouton, Ruben Turner, Staci Allen, Darren Scott, Kazondra Smith, Jennifer Williams, and Thalia Coleman. Son of the late Mack Stokes, Sr. and Josephine Jefferson Stokes. Brother of Vera Burns, Roosevelt (Ann) Stokes, Robert Lee (Robin) Stokes, and the late Rev. Dr. Mack Stokes, Jr., Eveline “Evelyn” Stokes, Josephine (Harold) Slider, Thomas Charles, Baker James, Charlie, David, and Ollie Stokes. Henry is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1020 Cohen Street Marrero, LA on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Aubrey Wallace, officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
