HENRY PATRICK JAMES, SR.

Henry Patrick James entered into eternal rest at Ochnser LSU Health Systems on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 70. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident Monroe, LA. Henry was a retired Diesel Mechanic with the Sanitation Department. Beloved husband of Mary Henderson James. Devoted father of Lynette James (Centwane) Hopson of Temple, TX and Henry (Markisha) Horton Sr., of Melville, LA, and the late Terrence Horton. Stepfather of John (Anneka) Henderson of Monroe, LA, Gaylynn (Joseph) Jenkins, Gwendolyn and Rhonda Henderson all of Marrero, LA.  Son of the late Monroe Lott James and Melonise Edna James. Brother of Brian (Bessie) James of Houston, TX, Gary (Monique) James of Laplace, LA, Larry and Charles James of Gretna, LA, Chester Walton of New Orleans, LA,  Lester Walton of Baton Rouge, LA, Linda Mouton of Algiers, LA, Loutissie James of Gretna, LA, and the late Monroe James Jr., and Jonathan James. Special friend of Howard Clark Sr. Henry also leaves to cherish 26 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 3 aunts, 4 uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Orin Grant officiating.
