HELEN MARIE HAYES CORDER

Helen Marie Hayes Corder, age 61, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Helen was a retired Nurse of University Medical Center and presently employed as a Home Health Provider with Gulfcoast Social Services. Beloved wife of Willie Corder, Jr. Devoted mother of Willie Atkins III and Amber T. Corder. Grandmother of Taurean Williams, Jada Atkins, Willie Atkins IV, Armani Eugene Atkins, and the late Malki Eugene Atkins.  Daughter of the late Phillip Hayes, Sr. and Saint Cecil Odeal Hayes. Granddaughter of the late Benjamin and Eliza Hatten and Alnora Hayes. Sister of Ruby Hayes Dorsey Salisbury, and the late Vera Hayes Boothe, Phillip Hayes, Jr., and Benjamin Hayes. Niece of Ernestine Hogan. Aunt of the late Ayesha Majeed and Kenya Cecilia Hayes. She was preceded in death by her first husband Willie Atkins II, 6 uncles, and 3 aunts. Helen is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.
