GLORIA JEAN CURTIS HORNES

Gloria Jean Curtis Hornes transitioned on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the age of 67. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she was very outgoing and enjoyed life to the fullest. “Glo”, as she was affectionately known by family and friends was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.  Beloved wife of Roy Hornes. Loving mother of Lionel (Alisha) Curtis of Biloxi, MS. Grandmother of Monisha Wilson (Davon) Ruffin, Lionishia Wilson, and Johnny Roger all of Harvey, LA. Great grandmother of Malik Thompkins, Minaj Thompkins, Amare Thompkins, and Corey Jenkins all of the late C. L. Curtis and Ruby Davis. Stepdaughter of the late Fred Gilmore. Granddaughter of the late Love Curtis and Katie Mae Curtis. Sister of the late William Miller. Godsister of Janet Wilson McIntyre of Harvey, LA. Devoted friend of Althea Toliver of Harvey, LA, also survived by a host other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
