Gertrude Brumfield Bailey departed this earthly life for eternal glory on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the age of 83. She was a native of Boliva, LA. Beloved wife of the late Tommie L. bailey. Loving mother of Ronald Morris, Sandra Appleverry, Regina (Ray) Muse, Andrea (Joseph) Davis of Cedar Hill, TX, Patricia (Marc) Allen, Kenneth Johnson of Desoto, TX, and the late Joey Atkins. Stepmother of Byron (Augusta) Bailey, Marcel Brown, Tommy Bailey of Mobile, AL, and the late Shawanda Edwards. Grandmother of the late Tanika Carter. Daughter of the late Homer and Sebell Briggs Brumfield. Sister of Pearlie Ware and the late Baby Brumfield, Albert, Peter, Realus, Richard, Arsenus, James, J.D., Alex, Murray, Hollie, Monroe, and L. S. Walker. Gertrude is also survived by her sister in love Laverne Brumfield, 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends.
