Geraldine Morris Jackson departed this life quietly at her residence of Friday, August 4, 2023, at the age of 68. She was a native of Baton Rouge, LA. and a resident of Westwego, LA. Geraldine was a graduate of L. W. Higgins Class of 1973. “Gerri”, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, she was employed for many years as a school teacher with Jefferson Parish School System. Before her retirement she was an administrative secretary with the Jefferson Parish Water Department. Beloved wife of 20 years to Manuel Jackson. Loving mother of Aaron Morris, Talicia Noble, Shalanda Noble, and Terrance Noble (Kirsten). Grandmother of Aaron Victor, Kievon Jackson (Mari), Donte Jackson, Aareion Jackson, Coy Jackson, Zyriea Pittman, Indea Cavalier, Ri’neyse Chest, Tyrik Noble, Aston Noble, Terrance Noble, Jr., and Noel Noble. Daughter of the late William Morris and Lillian Carey Morris. Sister of Shirley Carey, Huey Russell Lee (Coretta), and Thomas Jordan (Joyce). Godmother of Kema Carey, and Nicole January, also survived by 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Macedonia Baptist Church, Second Salvation Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Salvation Baptist Church 212 Marrero St. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Richard Williams Host Pastor - Pastor Albert Mickel officiating.
