GEORGE ANDREW SPOONER, JR.

George Andrew Spooner, Jr. departed this life on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the age of 71. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Marrero, LA. George was a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School, and he attended the University of New Orleans. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country for 3 years. George was a retired employee of Avondale Shipyard, and a former employee of Rubber Inc, Orleans Parish Sheriff Office and River Parish Maintenance, Inc. Beloved father of Clinton, Carla, and Geneva. Son of the late George and Deloris Spooner. Brother of Mary, Donna, Lori, Kenneth and the late Joseph, Arnold, and Lois, also survived by 7 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
