FLORENCE SCOTT BEVERLY

Florence Scott Beverly, age 75, transitioned peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. She was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System and was a retired restaurant cook. Florence enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints, shopping, eating out and vacationing with her family. Beloved wife of over 50 years to Ben Beverly, Jr. Loving mother of Timothy (Octavia) Scott, Darren (Brenda) Scott, Tameka Scott (Jerry) Johns, Joshua (Kristen) Scott, Shaneeka Scott, Ben (Sherone) Scott, Ashley (Lonnie) Jones, and the late Kimlee Scott. Stepmother of Kiana Anderson, Lakeisha Robertson, Bennie Ratcliff, Latoya, Monique, and Ernest Skidmore. Grandmother of the late Irian Taylor, Rodney Antoine, Jr., and Alexis Robertson. Great grandmother of the late K’Aare Charles. Daughter of the late Charlie Watson and Mary Scott Watson. Granddaughter of the late Matilda Scott Phoenix. Devoted sister of Matilda Scott (Willie) Frazier, Charlene Watson, Gidget Watson, Johnice Jones, Charles (Mary) Watson, and the late Thomas, Sarah, and Lola Pearl Scott. Daughter-in-law of the late Ben, Sr., and Lena Beverly. Sister-in-law of Viola Battle, Eleanor Coleman, Diane Hawkin, Virgie Beverly, Lena (Edward) Cola, Freddie Beverly, Nathaniel heard, and the late Albert, Ernest, and Issac Beverly, Mildred Jackson, Patricia Beverly, and Ernestine Hayes Beverly. Also cherishing her memories are 32 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
