Eugene Halsell, Sr.

Eugene Halsell, Sr., a retired construction worker, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the age of 84. He was a native of Lisma, AL and a resident of Avondale, LA. Beloved husband of the late Deloris Iron Halsell. Loving father of Tyrone and Terry Halsell, Rita Smith, Brenda Halsell, Detra Thompson, Deloris Gaines, Kiwana Mott, and the late Harold Gene Halsell, Eugene Halsell, Jr., and Carl Halsell. Son of the late John and Vinnie Halsell. Brother of Lola Halsell; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 U S Hwy 90 Avondale, LA on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Darold Ingram, host pastor; Rev. Nelson Matthews; officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m. -10:00a.m. ONLY at the above named church.
