ETHEN A. CRAWFORD, JR.

Ethen Allen Crawford Jr. entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 75 years of age. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Marrero LA. Ethen attended Corpus Christi Catholic School and graduated from Joseph S. Clark Sr. High School in 1967. On April 16, 1969, Ethen enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably, receiving the Vietnam Service Medal. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in 2010. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Beloved husband of 40 years to Patricia Crawford. Devoted father of Ethen Crawford III, Aunjel (Demetrius) Smith, Eddie (Donna) Crawford, Erik (Ursula) Crawford Sr., and Heather (Eddie) Hampton. Grandfather of Garard Crawford, Erik Crawford Jr., Areana (Josh) Anderson-Sanders, Erika Crawford, Britini Crawford, Cameron Crawford, Jahla Gray, Alaynah Gray, Ashton Gray Jr., Zion Crawford, Jordan Burns, Terrance Jones, and Corbin Smith. Great-grandfather of Mekhi Logan. Son of the late Ethen “Sonny” and Violet Crawford, Sr. Brother of the late Saundra McCoy. Uncle of Rayne McCoy, and Raymond McCoy, also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priests, and parishioners of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to celebrate the life of Ethen Allen Crawford Jr. at the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Ave. New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m; Recitation of the Rosary 9:15a.m. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery Avondale, LA.
