ETHEL M. PRICE

Ethel M. Price, age 85, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at East Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Ethel was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She dedicated her life to taking care of others and was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Ethel was a skillful pool player who enjoyed teaching others the game and was always willing to take on competition. As a pillar of her community, she will be remembered for generosity, open heartedness, and nurturing spirit. Loving mother of Audrey (Keith) Helmstetter, Dorlinda Price, Wanda Price, Leon (Lolita) Price, Byron Price, and the late Leo Price, III and Darren Price. Beloved daughter of the late George Randolph and Essie B. Johnson. Sister of the late Essie Converse and Robert Young. She was preceded in death by her former husband and children’s father Leo Price, Jr. Ethel is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and member of New Macedonia Baptist Church, Royal Palace Ministry, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at New Macedonia Baptist Church, 8308 Sheldon Street, Metairie, LA on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Apostle Percy McCray, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery-New Orleans, LA.
