ETHEL JARROW JOHNSON

Ethel Mae Johnson passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the age of 93. She was a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of Bridge City, LA. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Johnson. Devoted mother of the late Larry Jarrow, Anthony Jarrow, and Susan Carey. Great grandmother of the late Christian Culverson. Daughter of the late Etienne Jarrow and Lorenza Edwards (James) Saul. Loving sister of Evelyn Jackson, Beverly Saul, James Saul, Jr. and the late Arthur Jarrow, Lawrence Alexander, Santilla Favorite and Ralph Favorite. Affectionately known as “Mae Mae” or “Grandmaw”, she also leaves to cherish her precious memories 6 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 4th Street Westwego, LA on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Father Buddy Noel, celebrant. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church.
