ERROL MUSE

Errol “Big Red” Muse entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, January 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 63. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. He attended Jefferson Parish Public School System and graduated from Job Corps in both Oklahoma and Texas. Errol was the owner and operator of Big Red’s Home and Lawn Care Services. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, who enjoyed spending time with family and fishing. Beloved husband of 35 years to Diane Stokes Muse. Devoted father of Reva, Erica (Lerone Sr.) Hilton, and Diana Muse. Loving grandfather of Ma’Kyra Stokes, Lerone Jr., Erin, Layke, and Ellie Hillton. Son of the late William Muse, Sr. and Olivia Muse. Stepson of Velma Conner. Brother of Sharon (the late Sullivan) Francis, Russell (Myrna), Ronald (the late Sonia), Kenneth (the late Jackie), and Rev. Tyrone (Michelle) Muse, Dora Mimis, and the late Elaine Belton, Donna Kay Anderson, Laura Jean, Donna Lynn, Willie Conner and Williams Muse, Jr. Nephew of Martha Toles, Philip and Yvonne Tross. Son-in-law of the late Evelyn Stokes.  Brother-in-law of Janice Stokes, Myrna Smith, Denise, and the late Melanie Stokes and Lester Stokes. Errol is also survived by his 2 grandpups Rubble Bean Muse, Marshall Hilton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Missionary, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Israelite Baptist Church, Jesus is Lord Evangelistic Ministries, Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Dr. Elizabeth Ellent, Dr. Jennifer Slinsky, West Jefferson Cancer Center, and Chateau De Notre Dame are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA  on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Rev. Tyrone Muse, Sr., officiating.
