ENOLA SMITH DOUGLAS

Enola Smith Douglas, age 86, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, January 27, 2025. She was a native of Labadieville, LA and a resident of Texas City, TX. Enola was a graduate of Napoleonville High School and Katies Beauty School. She was a retired Cosmetologist and Insurance Agent with Universal Life. Beloved wife of the late David A. Douglas, Sr. Loving mother of Trudy D. Douglas, David A. Douglas, Jr., Tiesha Douglas-White, and the late Tania A. Douglas. Daughter of the late Andrew and Gertrude Smith. Sister of the late Ethel M. Smith and Thelma D. Thibodeaux. Also cherishing her memories are 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First Emmanuel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of the Order of Eastern Stars are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
