EMILE JOSEPH DESSELLE

Emile Joseph Desselle, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of 79. He was a native of Mt. Airy, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Emile was a retired offshore deckhand. He served his country in the United States Army. Beloved husband of Helen Houston Desselle. Devoted father of Darryl Desselle, Sr., and the late Shenerria M. Houston. Son of the late Jules Desselle, Sr. and Leonna Tassin Desselle. Brother of Julliet Desselle (Earl) Johnson, Ava Desselle Reynolds, and the late Theresa Desselle Cook, Inez Desselle Clayton, Jules, Jr., Walter, and Wilbert Desselle, Sr. Son in law of the late Mildred Boureois Houston, also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mt. Calvary International Worship Center, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mt. Calvary International Worship Center 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, LA on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 9:00a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage officiating.
