ELRITA MAE POLLARD PATTERSON

Elrita Mae Pollard Patterson entered into eternal rest at her residence surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 83. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA (Fischer Community). Elrita retired from the Orleans Parish School System after 40 years. She was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served as an usher for over 40 years. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Eve) Dorsey, Kirby (Angela) Dorsey, Kelvin (Denise) Dorsey, Yolanda Dorsey, and the late Junior and Allen Dorsey. Daughter of the late Frank Pollard and Savannah M. Boutte. Sister of Michael (Brenda) Manson, John (Masilena) Pollard, Ivory Reed, Doris (Victor) Washington, and the late Gail Bornum, Carolyn Bush, Freddie McKnight, Sr., and Williams Jones. Niece of Raymond Manson, Sr. Sisters in love of Marilynn (Philip) Barrow, and Julie Darensburg. Devoted of friend Lois Ann Thomas and Betty Steward, also survived by 24 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives, and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt Sinai Baptist Church 1249 LeBouef St.  New Orleans, LA on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
