Elaine Weber Steib entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the age of 75. She was a native of Marrero, LA and resident of Westwego, LA. Elaine was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was formerly employed with the Jefferson Parish School Board as a Substitute Teacher, and with LTI and Rivarde Detention Centers in the Food Service Department. Beloved wife of Joseph Raymond Steib, Sr. Devoted mother of the late Joseph Raymond Steib, Jr. Loving grandmother of Janai Nicole and Kyla Lynn Steib. Step grandmother of James and Semaj Gray. Great grandmother of Kaiden Steib. Step-great grandmother of Syphoni Gray, Sincere Hooker, Ronnie IV, and Rona Henderson, and Desmond Smith. Daughter of the late Sidney J. Weber, Sr. and Permilla Carter Weber. Granddaughter of the late Earnest, Sr. and Agnes W. Carter, Melligan and Blanche A. Weber. Sister of Sidney J. Weber, Jr., Larry Weber, Melvin Weber, Jacqueline Weber Francis, and the late Nathalie W. Levy, Earnest Weber, Sr., Albert Weber, and Michael Weber. Aunt of the late Nathaniel Levy, Jr., Kevin Levy, and Trisha Steib. Daughter in law of the late Hilton Steib, Sr. and Wilborine Dumas Steib. Sister-in-law of the late Nathaniel Levy, Sr., Ruby Steib Weber, and Leroy Francis. Also cherishing her memories are her godchildren Karen Alexander, Ashley August, Sylonda Davis, Morgan Weber, Sheryl Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Father Sydney Speaks, celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.; Recitation of Rosary 8:45a.m.; Tribute to follow.
