Elaine Savage, affectionately known as, “Easy E” and “Lula”, was called home to rest on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 69. She was a native of New Orlans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Elaine attended Lincoln High School and was formerly employed with Sieta Hotel, Catoosa law Firm and with her sister Connie’s Cleaning Service. Elaine was an exceptional cook, who was well known for her crawfish bisque, crab dressing, gumbo, okra stew and wild game meals. She enjoyed fishing, decorating for the holidays, and manicuring her lawn. Loving mother of Shelby Smith (Meltris), Shannon Savage (Mohammad), and Terri Lynn Savage (Dexter). Devoted grandmother Wanika M. Savage, Meltris L. Smith, Jr., Whitley A. Smith, Malaiya M. Johnson, Devyn Tru and Dyn’ver Triniti McClue, and the late Whitney Jenise Savage. Great grandmother of Autumn Bickman, Ayden Savage and Asia Bickman. Beloved daughter of Earl J. “Gas” Savage and Evora Savage. Sister of Teir (Edward) Murray, Annette Savage, Evangelist Angel (Carl) Joseph, Constance (Kevin) Burns, Robin Savage, Suttra Roy, Mark Smith, Earl Savage, Jr. and the late Randall Savage. Granddaughter of the late Rosie Hardge and Emmett Craig, Sr. Aunt of ther late Dre’Vaughn Burse. Niece of the late George Lee, Emmette, Robert, and Albert Craig, Joseph Morris, Mozel Craig, Rose Craig Morris, Henrietta Craig, and Ida DeGury Tilman. Cousin of the late Kenneth “Kennyman” Craig. Elaine is also survived by her loving companion Ernest “Uncle Boo” Mayho, his children Nicole and Nicholas Mayho and her grand dogs Winter, Gigi, Blue and Oreo, and is a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above-named parlor.
