EDDIE LAWRENCE MAGEE

Eddie Lawrence MaGee entered into eternal rest on at his residence on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the age of 73. He was a native of Independence, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Eddie was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High and a retired Clerk with United States Postal Service and Corp of Engineer of Los Angeles, CA. He served his country in the US Army for 4 years. Loving father of Gordie Joseph (Heather) Sudds of Apple Valley, CA. Beloved son of Jewel MaGee and Ora Lee James McGee. Grandson of the late Ollie and Daisy McGee, Eddie and Estine James. Brother of Kelvin A. (Dorene) McGee of Springs, Tx., Darrick McGee of Dallas, TX, Jewel McGee, Jr., of Houston, TX, Patricia McGee Richardson, Deandria McGee of Dallas, TX, LaTonya McGee (Leonard) Williams of Dallas, TX and the late Linda McGee Spearman, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of New Hope Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Hope Baptist Church, 434 7^th St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Warren E. Johnson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
