Dorothy Mae Wing

Dorothy Mae Howard Wing entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the age of 83. She was a native of St. Joseph, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Dorothy was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a retired Nursing Assistant. Beloved wife of the late George Wing, Jr. Loving mother of Donna W. (Curtis) Johnson, Kenneth G. Wing, James S. (Shelly) Wing, Marlon J. (Andrea) Wing, Anthony T. (Bertiel) Wing, Thela W. (Pedro) Alvarez, Tracy W. (Jerome) Spotville, and the late Jarvis T. Wing. Daughter of the late Henry Howard and Sarah Talton Thomas. Sister of Herman H. Howard, Charles M. Thomas, and Marguerite Thomas. Sister in law of Robert Dixon, and Vinney Williams; also survived by 43 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Morning Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th Street Westwego, LA on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
