DOROTHY JONES WILLIAMS

Dorothy Mae Jones Williams entered peacefully into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the age of 91. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Dorothy was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School class of 1951. She was a retired Cafeteria Coordinator from Los Angeles, California Schools. Beloved wife of the late Harold Joseph Williams. Loving daughter of the late Leo Jones, and Delphine Smith Jones. Sister of the late Hilda Jones, Emelda Kelson, Laborah Walkins, Beulah Butler, Harold Jones, Hebert Jones, Samuel Jones, and Wilton Jones. Dorothy is survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Gretna (Pastor T. Lynn Robinson), and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 2809 General Taylor St, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 9:00a.m. Pastor Moses S. Gordon II, officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m until service time ONLY. Interment: Providence Memorial Park & Mausoleum-Metairie, LA.
