DOROTHY VALENTINE GREEN

Dorothy Mae Green entered eternal rest at Covenant House of New Orleans on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 84. She was a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Dorothy was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School, and she was a former sales associate with DH Holmes and St. Vincent De Paul Store. She was a committed mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Beloved wife of the late Richard Green. Devoted mother of Antoinette Ford, Marva Brown, Doris Green, Regina Green, Keith Green, Kenneth Green, and Reginald Green. Loving daughter of the late Robert (Mable) Valentine, and Paralee (James) Valentine. Sister of the late Robert Valentine, Jr., and Paramiller Valentine. Dorothy is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church, 2012 Washington Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor G. R. Washington, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Will Be Private. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
