DOROTHY H. JONES

Dorothy H. Jones was called home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the age of 78. She was a native of Winnsboro, LA, a former resident of Westwego, LA, and presently residing in Houston, TX. Devoted wife of the late Merlin Jones. Loving mother of Gaynell, Trevalynn, and Mervin Jones. Grandmother of Erica, Kyra, Makalya, and Dominic Jones. Great grandmother of Elisa Francis, Jamal Cook, Jesse and Xerxes Vessel. Daughter of the late Charlie and Catherine Henry. Sister of Bertha Harford, Catherine Tolliver, Mary, and George Henry, and the late Charlie, Jr., Larry, Torris, Joseph, and Jimmy Henry, Lee Esther H. Ross-Brannan, Lula Thomas, and Lela Grant, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
