DOROTHY SMITH JAMES

Dorothy Smith James entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the age of 67. She was a native of Pineville, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Dorothy was employed as a biller coder. Beloved mother of Ronnie and Latrice Alexander. Daughter of the late Kestee Weir, Sr. and Dorothy Smith. Sister of Kestee Weir, Jr., Thomas Weir, James Weir, Ruby Richard, and Orangeu Weir, also survived by 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New St. Mark Baptist Church and all neighboring are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New St. Mark Baptist Church 1630 Simon Bolivar New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
