DORIS BENARD BLANCHE

Doris B. Blanche entered into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the age of 81. She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Doris was a retired Educator with Marrero Christian Academy and Director of Zoe Home School. Beloved wife of Ross Blanche. Devoted mother of Rodney D. Blanche, Deidra B. Decay, Kevin L. Blanche, Karen B. Scott, Ross F. Blanche, Willette B. Washington, and Elisa R. Blanche. Grandmother of the late D’Errah N. Nelson. Daughter of the late Willie Benard and Frances Watson. Stepdaughter of the late Leola Benard and Julius Watson. Granddaughter of the late Emiline Wiley and Ethel Hunter. Sister of Edward Wiley, Glenn Watson, James Dunbar, Rhonda Gill, and the late Wayne Dunbar, Frederick Jenkins, and Ida Causey, also survived by 26 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church 3512 Highway 90 West Avondale, LA on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
