Donnell Chess departed this life on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the age of 51. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Daneeky as he was affectionally called by family and friends was a former employee with Marsh Buggies as a machinist. Beloved son of Esther Chess. Stepson of Cornelius James. Grandson of the late Woodrow Chess and Rosie Mae Chess. Brother of Toni Favorite of Gulfport, MS, Patrick (Rhonda) Chess of Marrero, LA, and Shawn (Capresha) Chess of AL. Uncle of the late Marquis A. Thomas. Nephew of the late Wendell and Edward Chess, and Willie Dean Bailey, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA  on Friday, June 26, 2020, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. at the parlor.
