D'ETTA SHIPLEY COCKERHAM

D̕etta Shipley Cockerham entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the age 74. She was a native and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved wife of Curtis Cockerham, Jr. Devoted mother of Curtis Cockerham, III. Daughter of the late Donno E. Shipley and Loretta M. Shipley. Sister of Daphael Shipley, Delmas Crawford, Lorne Crawford, Zolia Shipley, Briann Shipley, Alvinita Davis,  Alfreda Williams, and the late Shannon Crawford, also survived by 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Greater Morning Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church 1242 Vallette St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Bishop W. L. T. Littleton officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
