Deontae Dquan Bessie departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 20. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Deontae was a former employee with Amazon. Beloved father of Demi Bessie. Loving son of Dquaii Bessie and Deontae Dorsey. Grandson of Quinston and Lori Calvin, Yolanda Dorsey, Carl, Sr. and Tammy Shief. Great grandson of the late Rita Dorsey, Herbert, Sr. and Elouise Porter Bessie. Brother of Corey Bessie, Shaquille Bessie, Messiah Bessie, Kewanna Bessie, Keaunta Bessie, and Keshata Bessie. Companion of Kayshawn Causey, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA, on Friday, January 26, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
