DENISE EADSON WHITE YOUNG

Denise Eadson White Young entered into eternal rest at Touro Infirmary Hospital on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 77. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Denise was graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Beloved wife of Samuel Young. Devoted mother of Desmond (Tanya Sue) and Jamar (Willow) White. Loving grandmother of Jamaria, Diavian, Marquis, and JayDan. Great grandmother of Ava and Edgar. Daughter of Stanley Gordon and the late Catherine Burr and her bonus father Alvin Hayes. Granddaughter of the late Sarah Mays and Vivian Hayes. Sister of Wilma Vaughn of Palo Alto, CA, Gwen Robinson of New Orleans, LA, Lynette Burr of Dallas, TX, Gretchen (Demetrius) Gumm of Santa Clara, CA, Mark Gordon and the late Muriel Hayes Course and Michael Gordon. Niece and goddaughter of Henry and Dorothy Mays. Sister-in-law of the late Larry Young and James Robinson, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, especially Aunt Sadie other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Redemption Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Greater Redemption Church, 1212 Sumner St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ervin Cooper, Sr.  officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery- New Orleans, LA.
