Demond William Lago, Sr. entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the age of 48. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Demond attended Edna Karr Senior High School in New Orleans, LA and Great Mills High School in Lexington Park, MD. He was a former employee with Mauser Corporation Houston Texas as an Assembler / Weld Tester. Beloved father of Demond Lago, Jr., Derelle Willis, Terelle Willis, Davon Lago, Rashad Lago, Rasaan Lago, and Demetrious Carroll. Son of Willie Lago, Jr. and Delores Brown. Stepson of Valerie Lago and Larry Brown. Grandson of the late Willie, Sr. and Alberta Lago, Mervin, Sr. and Beulah Mae Duplessis. Brother of Aisha Andrew, Jasmine Lago, Tramaine Lago, Nicole Pugh, J’da Allen, J’la Swafford, Shannon Robertson, Camese (Godsister), Sean Lago, Sr. Willie Lago, III, Malcolm Lago, Jonathan Stewart, Charles Francois, Jr. (Godbrother). Nephew of the late Pearl Abrams, Barbara Jasper, Lillie Mae Robertson, Mervin Duplessis, Jr., and Rodney Lago. Brother in law of Bryant Andrew, Quincy Allen, Amber Lago, and Nicole Lago, also survived by 6 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Asbury United Methodist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Asbury United Methodist Church 2725 Ernest St. New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above-named church.
