DELORES LEE JOHNSON

Delores Johnson, age 88, passed away peacefully at Touro Infirmary on Friday, March 21, 2025. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Delores was a faithful member of Grace and Glory Family Worship Church International. She was also an active member of Central City Community Center, where she participated in various activities that kept her mind and body healthy. She was a true New Orleanian, who loved the Mardi Gras season, traveling on the streetcar and all the cultural events. Delores will be remembered for her boundless love, kindness, and infectious laughter, in the hearts of all who knew her. Devoted mother of Elizabeth (Charles, Sr.) Johnson, Diane (late Melvin) Johnson, and the late Martha Lee and Andrew Johnson. Daughter of the late Leonard and Louise Johnson. Loving sister of the late Doris Williams, Leon, Theodore, and Charlie. Also cherishing her memories are 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Grace and Glory Family Worship Church International and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Grace and Glory Family Worship Church International, 802 Third Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
