David Dalley Gardiner entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the age of 71. He was a native of Santa Flora, Trinidad & Tobago and a resident of Harvey, LA. David was employed as a welder, and was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union 60 (UA Local 60). He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Beloved husband of Jatawn Willis Gardiner. Devoted father of Chaz Dalley Gardiner and Jessica Gardiner. Stepfather of Justin Haynes and Ryan Joseph. Loving grandfather of Carter Hayes and Capri Hayes. Son of the late Jefferson and Sybil Gardiner. Brother of Carol, Pearl, Robert, Stephen, and Roland Gardiner. Uncle of Cary, Kwami, Chike, Alana, Alister, Alicia, Andrew, Andrea, Yohance, and Ashanna. Nephew of Belton Gardiner. Cousin of Debbie Syvester, also his best friend, and Davis Gardiner. Son-in-law of Moris Willis, Sr. and Mabel G. Willis. Brother-in-law of Morris Willis, Jr., Otis Burns, Mary-Ann Burns, Beverly Davis, Carolyn Anderson and Grace Gardiner; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
