DAVID BIRDEN

David Birden, Jr., age 81, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was a native and resident of Avondale, LA. David was a former employee of International Tank Terminal. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Avondale, LA. Loving husband of Dolly S. Birden.  Father of David (Linda) Birden, III, Trachel B. Williams, Christopher D. (Leslie) Birden, and Keidra B. (Leroy) Davis. Beloved son of the late David Birden, Sr., and Lou Ethel Simmons Birden. Brother of Vivon (Rev. Howard, Sr.) Smith of San Francisco, CA, Cathy Gibson, Carmen Birden, Ethel Lou (Thomas, Sr.) Bell of Milwaukee, WI, Dolores Birden, Albert (Linda) Lewis, and the late Willie (Maxine) Birden, Sr., Genevie and Myrtle Birden. Son-in-law of the late James Scrubbs and Sadie Dodd Scrubbs. David is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of International Tank Terminal are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1600 Westwood Dr., Marrero, LA. on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:45a.m. ONLY at the             above-named church.
