Darren John Young departed this life at residence on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 60. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Darren was a graduate of John Ehret High School. He was employed as a cook with Golden Corral. Beloved husband of Evelyn Williams Young. Father of Darren Hilliard, Brandon Roberts, Walter Young, Keonna Rose, Stan Williams, Dominique Williams, Neal Williams, Neilson Williams, Whitney Maxwell, and the late John Leveque. Son of Charlouise Gaudet Levi and the late Lloyd Dell Young. Stepson of the late Walter Lee Levi, III. Grandson of the late Emile and Clara Gaudet. Brother of Rodney Young, Derrick Hodge, Thyra Ann Levi, Cheryl Levi Miles, Tyneisha Johnson, and Eleanor Everett. Uncle of the late Rodney Joseph Johnson, also survived by15 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
