Curtis Thomas, Sr., age 82, entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was a native of Lake Providence, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Curtis was a retired Welder with the Jefferson Parish Waterworks Department. Beloved husband of 50 years to Evelyn Ann Thomas. Devoted father of Shondreka, Patricia, Sandra, Curtis, Jr., Evelyn, Rhaelynn, Valerie, Ivory, Dwayne, and Clifton Thomas. Son of the late Elizabeth Thomas Edwards. Brother of Elizabeth S. Washington, and the late Tommy Shaw, Charles Edwards, Leroy Edwards, Columbus Thomas, Ivory Edwards, Levon Jones, Albert Shaw, and Maright Edward Johnson. Curtis is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Avenue New Orleans, LA on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
