CORNELL HARRIS

Cornell Harris received his angel wings on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the age of 64. He was a native of Houma, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Cornell received his formal education in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and was a former welder at Avondale Shipyard. He was an avid football fan, who enjoyed watching his favorite teams during football season. Cornell enjoyed spending time at Boomtown Casino and talking with family and friends. Companion of Lynn D. Father of Torey Harris and Anjuel Kennedy. Grandfather of Corrisa Kennedy. Son of the late the late Cleveland and Lillie Mae Triggs Harris. Brother of Joann Ringo of Houma, LA, Larry Harris of Arizona, and the late Jonita “Moochie” Harris, Shedrick Harris, Cleveland “Doug-Belly” Harris, Gregory Harris, and Lois Harris Washington. Uncle of Dawn Henry. Brother-in-law of Joyce Davis Harris; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Rev. James Wing of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
