COREY THOMAS WARMINGTON, JR.

Corey “Butta” Thomas Warmington, Jr., age 32, departed this life on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his residence. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Corey was a graduate of West St. John High School, and employed as an Equipment operator with Archer Daniel Midland in Waggaman, LA.  Corey will be remembered as a humble, hardworking young man, who enjoyed fishing and playing flag and fantasy football. Loving and devoted father of Ralaya Shepherd, Trayvon Dupre, Corey Warmington III, Cylahn Warmington, Cayden Warmington, Camari Warmington, and Amir Williams. Beloved son of Corey (Natsha) Warmington, Sr. and Monica (David) Harper. Grandson of Ada Harper and the late Charles and Vahness James, Johnny and Yvonne Warmington, and Wilmer Gilyard.   Brother of Tanyijah (Laokham) Siripanhya of Atlanta, GA, Kevin (Quinta) Simmons, Shena Williams, both of New Orleans, LA, Jimmy Conner (Kayla) of Atlanta, GA, Destiny Harper, Jayla and Jaylen Green all of New Orleans, LA, Xavier Edwards, Kaia Warmington, Kyrie Warmington, Jah-Mel Waters and Amaree’ Williams all of Atlanta GA.  Godson of Kenneth and Shelia Clinton. Companion of Brittany Brock.  He was preceded in death by 3 aunts and 2 uncles. Also cherishing his memories is his lifelong friend Ronisha Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Morning Star Baptist Church of Reserve, LA, Greater St. Stephens FGBC, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Archer Daniel Midland are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Ave., New Orleans, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Pastor Bryan Keith Warren, officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. at the church.
