CLARENCE EDWARD HOLMES, III

Clarence Edward Holmes, III, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the age of 59. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Clarence was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System, and he was employed as a laborer with a janitorial service. Beloved father of Chloe (Dennis) Roussell, Christie (Ezekiel) Sweeting, and Creyon Smith. Son of the late Clarence E. Holmes, Jr. and Earnestine C Reed. Stepson of Larry G. Reed. Grandson of the late Willie and Earnestine Carter, Clarence Holmes, Sr. and Zelma Davis. Brother of Maurice, Calvin, Giselle and Chamika Holmes, and the late Willie Deric Holmes. Nephew of the late Benjamin Fisher, Jr., Noel Carter, Willie Carter, and Dorothy Carter Anderson, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Asbury United Methodist Church, Second Baptist Church, Sixth Baptist Church, Second Nazarene Baptist Church, Houston Methodist, and neighboring churches; employees of Harmony Hospice, Dry Dock Café, Bayona, Frank’s, Best Care Provider Services, Waste Management of Houston, LCMC, Old Dominion Freight Line and St. Joseph Hospice are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above named parlor.
