CHARLES RAY SPARKMAN

Charles Ray “D Red” Sparkman departed this life on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the age of 18. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Charles was a 2020 graduate of Landry- Walker High School and employed as a loader with UPS.  Beloved son of Charles Clayton and Chakakhan Sparkman. Loving brother of Chase Clayton, Jayce Clayton, Zerase Reed, Angel Clayton, Akayla Clayton, Joei Harris, Armani Clayton, and Charlie Clayton. Grandson of Charles Dexter, Rita Jackson, Glenda Hulbert, Antionette Wilson, and the late Bonnie Sparkman, Sr., and Geraldine Powell. Great grandson of the late Charles and Leroy Hulbert. Cousin of the late Jerome Sparkman, Corey Clayton, and Larman Henry; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, Landry-Walker Class of 2020, and employees of UPS are invited to attend the Public Viewing at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 9:00a.m.-9:45a.m. ONLY.  Private family Celebration of Life to follow.
