CHARLES FREDDIE ELLISON

Charles Freddie Ellison entered eternal rest on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the age of 78. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Harvey LA. Charles was a retired pipe fitter with Witco Chemical Corporation. After retirement he was employed for a short time with Sodexho Environmental Services at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved father of Claude, Shanell, Ann, Valerin, Marie, and Charles Ellison. Son of the late Freddie Ellison and Valeria London Ellison Miller. Bonus son of the late Albert Miller. Brother of Nora Jones, Linda McDonald, Patricia (Ronald) Warmington, Valeria Givens, Geneen (Harvey) Jefferson, Ellis (Linda), and John (Terry) Ellison, and the late Shirley Cantrell, Rita Tross, Freddie Ellison, Elizabeth Ellison, Dwight Ellison, Lucille Ellison, Rhonda Dumas, and Carla Clayton. Brother in law of Archie Clayton, and Thera Ellison. Nephew of Gloria Johnson. Godson of the late Lavinia Dixon, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Moonshine, LA, and neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the parlor.
