Cenovia Hills Brady Kelson, age 77, transitioned into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Kenner on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Laplace, LA. Cenovia was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and West Jefferson Vo-Tech, where she received certification in Respiratory Therapy. She later attended Delgado Community College, obtaining a degree in General Studies. Cenovia also received training in neonatal and pediatrics from Children’s Hospital and West Jefferson Medical Center. Prior to retirement, Cenovia worked as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, Certified Pulmonary Therapist, and as a Clinical Instructor at West Jefferson Vo-Tech School. She was an active member of the Louisiana Society of Cardiopulmonary Association and the American Association of Respiratory Therapy.Beloved wife of the late Henry Kelson. Devoted mother of Denise Brady White and the late Ryan Brady. Cherished grandmother of Cenovia White, Mannie White, Jr., Rynece Brady, and the late Darren Tatum. Great grandmother of Rubie Regis, Shai Brady, and Zaire Wilson. Daughter of the late Nathan Hills, Jr. and Dora L. Hills. Loving sister of Nathan Hills III, Joyce Washington, Ruby Bennett, Cynthia (Alfred) Cain, Eartha Love, Debra Synder, Mable Hills, Antoinett Woods, and the late Valerie Carter. Mother-in-law of Shannon Brady; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Little Zion Baptist Church #3, Gathering of Christ Church, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 107 Pilgrim Street, Reserve, LA on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Forell Bering, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
