CALVIN ANTHONY WALTERS, SR

Calvin Anthony Walters, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the age of 78. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Rev. Walters was an associate Minister with Second Zion Baptist Church. Devoted husband of the late Bernetha Jean Boyd Walters. Beloved father of Chenelle (Mark) Lecoq, Dr. Renetta (Kevin, Sr.) Allen, and the late Calvin Walters, Jr. Son of the late Ernest Walters, Sr. and Audrey Stewart Walters. Brother of Pastor Thomas Walters, Rudolph Walters, Jackie Walkers, Audrey Camp, Betty Walters, Judy Williams, and the late Raymond Walters, Ernest Walters, Jr., and Wayne Walters, also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
